Kateryna’s story is unusual even for war-torn Ukraine. She teaches dance at the Kyiv Palace of Children and Youth. And when the cities and villages in the Kyiv region were caught by fire, the girl had a very difficult mission. The evacuation of 40 children who were studying at the Palace to Bulgaria was organized.

And Kateryna became one of the three adults who accompanied this camp abroad. The children were different, but all of them were scared, without parents. Many needed clothes and stuff. And everyone needed support. 40 students studied online. So they studied, took exams, and solved difficult math problems together. All of this required strength. Kateryna looked into the children’s eyes and understood that she should become the support that boys and girls from Ukraine need so much.

Now many of these children continue their studies at the Palace, sharing a very unusual and interesting story with their teacher.
